Storytelling Background Personal Background Personal Background Loren grew up on a farm near Wellman, IA, the oldest of three children.  His family attended a Mennonite church where Loren accepted Christ as his Savior. In 1989, Loren moved to Bloomington, IL to work for State Farm Insurance in their Systems (computer) Department.  Loren is still employed by State Farm. Loren and his wife Deb were married in 1991.  They have four boys aged eight, six, six, and six (as in triplets).  Deb home schools the boys. The family attends Hopedale Mennonite Church near Hopedale, IL.  Loren has been a Sunday School teacher, adult Sunday School superintendent, worship leader, and a member of the Church Council.  He is currently a Discipleship Elder.
