Workshop
In the Bible Stories
Alive! workshop, participants learn how to turn a written Bible passage
into a vivid, oral story that comes to life in the minds of their
listeners.
Storytelling is valuable for children’s Sunday School teachers, adult
Sunday School teachers, small group leaders, pastors, youth workers,
parents, and grandparents.
Storytelling engages your listeners as the story plays on the big
screen of their imagination. Children sit still and listen.
Adult Sunday School class members become engaged and participate in
class discussions. People in the pews listen attentively and
remember the story, and the main point, for many days to come.
The purpose of the workshop is not to teach you how to tell
stories. The purpose is to help you refine the storytelling
abilities you already have.
Learn a step-by-step process for crafting a story by actually crafting
a story. Each participant develops a Bible story using informal
activities that are easy and fun. Everyone leaves the workshop
with a ready-to-tell story. The learning experience is
non-threatening and no one will feel embarrassed or inadequate.
The workshop will also enhance how a person tells children’s stories,
personal stories, and business presentations.
Loren brings the workshop to your church. The workshop can be
customized to meet your particular needs. Be sure to ask about a
Storytelling Sunday.

The workshop is based on the book The Art of Storytelling by John Walsh
and published by Moody Press. |
